Mortgage Operations & Secondary Market Officer

At On Tap Credit Union, we’re building something bigger—and mortgage is a key driver of that growth. We’re looking for a strategic, analytical, and forward-thinking leader to own our mortgage line of business from pricing strategy to secondary market execution.
As our Mortgage Operations & Secondary Market Officer, you’ll lead the development and execution of mortgage strategy, optimize pricing models, and drive capital markets performance—all while enhancing the member experience and supporting our long-term growth goals.
What You’ll Do
Lead Mortgage Strategy
- Develop and execute the mortgage line of business strategy aligned with our growth goals
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on market trends, pricing, and competitive positioning
- Present insights on mortgage performance, pricing, and portfolio strategy
Own Pricing Strategy & Governance
- Design and refine mortgage pricing models to balance growth, margin, and risk
- Monitor market conditions, competitor pricing, and rate movement
- Establish pricing governance, including exception tracking and performance monitoring
- Partner with Finance/ALM to align pricing with cost of funds and balance sheet strategy
Drive Secondary Market & Capital Markets Execution
- Oversee loan sales, investor relationships, and delivery execution
- Optimize gain-on-sale and manage interest rate and pipeline risk
- Evaluate investor performance and adjust execution strategies accordingly
Lead Product Development & Innovation
- Develop and manage mortgage products across portfolio and secondary market channels
- Identify opportunities for new offerings or enhancements to drive growth
- Ensure products remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with member needs
Deliver Data-Driven Performance
- Analyze production, margins, pull-through, and profitability
- Build dashboards and KPIs to track performance
- Provide actionable insights to improve volume, efficiency, and earnings
Collaborate Across the Organization
- Partner with Lending, Retail, eBranch, and Marketing to drive production
- Work closely with Risk and Compliance to ensure regulatory adherence
- Collaborate with Operations to improve scalability and efficiency

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 8–12+ years of progressive experience in mortgage banking, capital markets, or pricing strategy
- Proven experience in mortgage pricing, financial modeling, and secondary market execution
- Strong understanding of interest rate risk, gain-on-sale, and pipeline management
- Experience presenting to executive leadership and/or Board of Directors

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $80,000 – $95,000 annually
- Bonus: Eligible for performance-based incentive tied to scorecard metrics
