About the Role:
The Initial Client Intake Paraprofessional (Virtual) plays a critical role in the client onboarding process by serving as the first point of contact for new clients. This position is responsible for gathering comprehensive client information, assessing initial needs, and ensuring accurate documentation to facilitate seamless service delivery. The paraprofessional will work closely with various internal teams to coordinate client intake and support efficient case management. By maintaining clear and empathetic communication, this role helps build trust and rapport with clients from the outset. Ultimately, the position contributes to enhancing client satisfaction and operational effectiveness through meticulous data collection and client engagement. This role is primarily virtual, with occasional in-home visits required to complete intake documentation and establish rapport with clients and families.The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and able to clearly explain services while ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the initial point of contact for all new client referrals
- Conduct intake appointments virtually and coordinate scheduling with families
- Complete one required in-home visit per client to obtain signed intake packets and required consents
- Clearly explain available services, expectations, and next steps to clients and caregivers
- Ensure all intake documentation is completed, signed, and uploaded in a timely manner
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth client onboarding
- Maintain accurate records in the electronic health record (EHR) system
- Follow all confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field preferred
- Experience in behavioral health, social services, or case management preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport quickly with diverse populations
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable using virtual platforms and EHR systems
- Reliable transportation for occasional in-home visits
