General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada is hiring for Systems Engineering Analysts to our Canadian Air team. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to be apart of a team working in mission-critical aerospace programs.
In this role, you will bring strong system level thinking and problem solving skills in order to contribute to critical project milestones through design, analysis, and test activities, including the development and execution of formal test cases. You will review and make updates to requirements, document architecture and diagrams, as well as support root cause investigations. You will also help transfer knowledge to more junior staff and leverage your areas of expertise towards technical solutions. Experience with navigation, RF, communications, or software systems is highly desirable.
The responsibilities and range of activities will vary depending on experience, but in general will include:
- Performing design, analysis and/or test activities in support of completing the project objectives
- Documenting analysis, designs and tests (e.g., architecture diagrams,, tech notes, design documents, test plans and test reports)
- Writing formal test cases and execute them to collect formal test results
- Preparing written test reports for submission to the end customer
- Investigating system problem reports and field incident reports; perform root cause and trend analyses
- Providing technical support during higher level integration and qualification testing
- Providing technical inputs to, and reviewing technical outputs from subcontractors
- Product and process improvements; identifying opportunities to improve products and services, and drive those changes
- Making presentations of work at design reviews or other types of peer review
- Providing support to the software team to ensure alignment to program requirements and operational performance expectations
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Relevant systems engineering experience with complex electronic systems, or a combination of equivalent education and experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience; 10+ years preferred
- Defence and Aerospace experience is highly desirable

- Technical writing
- Understanding of Software and Systems Engineering principles
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to conduct analysis leading to sound conclusions
- Enthusiastic contributor, willing to learn, and takes pride and ownership of work
It is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed. Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements, including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance. Applicants may be required to meet additional security requirements in order to gain access to technical data, classified areas or information that is subject to international regulations. You must be eligible to work in Canada.
The hiring range for this position is $90,000-$140,000. Our goal is to provide a fair and competitive offer based on an assessment of internal equity and your qualifications, including:
