This senior leadership role is responsible for defining and driving the global commercial strategy for a key oncology disease area, with a strong focus on pancreatic cancer and related RAS-driven indications. You will lead the development of integrated disease area and brand strategies across the full product lifecycle, from early launch planning through commercialization and growth. Operating at the intersection of science, strategy, and execution, you will translate complex clinical and market insights into compelling global positioning and go-to-market approaches. The role requires close partnership with clinical development, medical affairs, and market access teams to ensure alignment across regions and functions. You will also lead and develop a high-performing global marketing team while shaping external agency partnerships and commercial capabilities. This is a highly visible role with direct impact on global launch success, portfolio value creation, and long-term patient access to innovative oncology therapies.
You will be responsible for leading global disease area and commercial strategy for pancreatic cancer, ensuring strong alignment across functions and geographies to drive successful product launches and lifecycle value.
- Define and lead global disease area strategy, including positioning, branding, messaging, and value propositions
- Drive end-to-end global launch planning and ensure readiness across U.S. and international markets
- Translate scientific, clinical, and market insights into actionable commercial strategies and narratives
- Develop and oversee global brand plans, including forecasting, revenue assumptions, and lifecycle planning
- Partner with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Clinical Development, and Sales to ensure integrated execution
- Lead cross-functional alignment on commercialization strategy and ensure consistent global messaging
- Oversee agency and vendor partnerships to execute global campaigns and engagement initiatives
- Monitor market performance and competitive dynamics to refine strategy and identify growth opportunities
- Provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership on portfolio prioritization and expansion opportunities
- Build, coach, and develop a high-performing global commercial team
This role requires extensive global pharmaceutical or biotech commercial experience, including deep expertise in oncology marketing and product launch leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong strategic thinking, leadership capability, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA strongly preferred
- 15+ years of progressive experience in biotech or pharmaceutical commercial roles
- Proven track record in global marketing strategy and successful product launches in competitive markets
- Strong experience in oncology commercialization is highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to develop insights-driven strategies using market and analytics data
- Strong leadership experience managing global teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and executive-level presentation skills
- Ability to operate with an entrepreneurial mindset in a dynamic, high-growth environment
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage complex priorities and timelines
- Experience in smaller or rapidly scaling organizations is a plus
- Competitive base salary ranging from $294,000 to $367,000 USD
