Schneider is seeking a Freight Broker in Green Bay to establish and grow relationships with carriers and source carrier capacity. The Freight Broker will also coach and mentor new freight brokers.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, prospect for and generate new carriers.
- Sell load opportunities to new and existing carriers.
- Quote, negotiate prices and commit transportation services.
- Manage freight pickup, transit and drop-off to ensure excellent service.
- Work with sales reps and the network management team to provide short- and long-term solutions for carriers.
- Help new freight brokers grow their book of business.
Skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- One plus years of sales experience preferred.
- Fluent in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Strong prospecting skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to take initiative.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
