Auxiant is a third party administrator of self-funded employee benefit plans with offices in Cedar Rapids, IA, Madison and Milwaukee, WI. Auxiant is a fast-growing,progressive company offering an excellent wage and benefit package.

Job Summary:

Responsible for handling all aspects of COBRA

Essential Functions:

  • Daily contact with participants and clients for services provided
  • Audit and disburse checks/payments from participants
  • Track and ensure coverage is updated for online/check payments received
  • Receive and reviewing elections for COBRA participants – notify Auxiant enrollment and outside carriers when first payment received
  • Track COBRA payments on a monthly basis
  • Provide excellent customer service to plan participants, HR contacts and account managers
  • Enter pertinent data in the client database
  • Process terminations from COBRA
  • Process COBRA election paperwork to terminated employees
  • Regularly deals with data of a confidential or sensitive nature where judgment and tact are required to maintain or disseminate it.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication
  • Phone skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects, meet established deadlines and change as business needs require
  • Proficient PC skills including e-mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet,10-key
  • Proven experience in a professional office environment
  • Considerable knowledge of Federal & State COBRA and HIPAA rules
  • Good problem solving/analytical/math skills.
