*This is a hybrid role. Candidates must reside in the Dallas–Fort Worth, TX or Nashville, TN area to be considered.

At Apkudo, you will be working as a key member of our Device Intelligence: Professional Services team. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing software that processes device data and streamlines shipping, receiving, and triage workflows for returned connected devices. This is a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with teams across the company and contribute to integrated software and hardware platforms that boost automation, efficiency, and system stability.

In this role, you will work closely with the Robotics Solutions Lead and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features and improvements. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain software solutions to support Apkudo's integrated software and hardware platforms. You will also be expected to stay up-to-date with emerging tools and technologies relevant to Apkudo's products and services.

Skills & Qualification
  • Proficiency in Python, with a strong understanding of software development life cycle and methodologies, to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

  • Strong understanding of database design and maintenance, including expertise in PostgreSQL, to assist in database design and maintenance.

  • Experience with AWS Cloud or similar cloud experience, with a strong understanding of cloud-based systems and technologies, to debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Ability to document technical processes, features, and updates to support knowledge sharing and system continuity.

  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle and methodologies, with the ability to think critically and creatively.

  • BS in Computer Science or related field.

  • 2-5 years of experience in software development, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality features and improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain software solutions to support Apkudo's integrated software and hardware platforms, with a focus on streamlining shipping, receiving, and triage workflows for returned connected devices.

  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Python and other relevant programming languages, with a strong focus on code quality and maintainability.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product, and QA to deliver high-quality features and improvements.

  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues to ensure platform stability and performance, with experience in AWS CloudWatch and similar cloud-based systems.

  • Assist in database design and maintenance, including writing queries and optimizing performance, with expertise in PostgreSQL.

  • Test and validate software functionality through unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing.

  • Document technical processes, features, and updates to support knowledge sharing and system continuity.

  • Stay current with emerging tools and technologies relevant to Apkudo's products and services.

  • Cross-functional team collaboration and leadership skills, with a strong desire to learn and grow.

  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong desire to learn and grow, and exposure to warehouse automation and Robotics is a plus.
