Strategic Business Systems (SBS) is hiring a highly skilled US Federal Network Technical Consultant to support large-scale network infrastructure initiatives within the federal sector. This role is primarily remote but requires extensive travel (up to 90%) to customer sites across the U.S. and internationally. The consultant will be responsible for configuring, managing, and troubleshooting complex network environments, integrating modern cloud and virtualization technologies, and ensuring compliance with DoD security standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network switches from multiple manufacturers.
• Design and implement cloud architecture and network integration solutions.
• Troubleshoot and maintain VXLAN with EVPN environments.
• Support and configure VMware NSX for network virtualization.
• Perform advanced routing and troubleshooting, including OSPF, BGP, and packet captures.
• Configure and manage Aruba Fabric Composer (AFC) and Aruba CX solutions.
• Manage and troubleshoot Juniper routing and switching platforms.
• Implement and maintain network security solutions using Aruba ClearPass.
• Apply and maintain compliance with DoD STIGs and routing/switching SRGs.
• Configure and support Juniper vSRX Virtual Firewalls for secure connectivity.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance (minimum).
• Valid Passport and ability to travel up to 90% (mostly stateside)
• 7+ years of Aruba/Juniper network engineering or consulting experience preferred.
• Strong expertise in routing, switching, and network virtualization technologies.
• Experience supporting federal environments and adhering to DoD security standards.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and client-facing communication skills.
