Assistant Controller

Our client is looking to hire a "Hands on" Controller, who will report to the CFO. The position will offer exposure to every aspect of the financial side of the business.

Responsibilities

• Manage the month and year-end close process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll , treasury, budgeting cash, variance analysis and fixed asset reconciliations
• Balance Sheet reconciliations monthly
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
• Coordinate and complete annual review with outside CPA firm
• Produce and file timely and complete quarterly payroll tax returns
• Produce annual W-2’s and 1099’s
• Annual business insurance and medical insurance renewals
• Work with CFO and outside insurance company to complete annual workers comp audit
• Work with outside auditors to complete annual 401k audit
• Meet financial accounting objectives

Skills

• Advanced computer skills in Excel, word and Quickbooks
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong interpersonal skills as you will be working with all the other department managers
• A good understanding of “doing what it takes to get the job done”

Base salary up to 125Kplus Benefits Health, Dental, Vision and 401k
