Billing/Follow Up -Medicare at Holyoke Medical Center – Holyoke, Massachusetts

The Medicare Follow-Up Representative is responsible for the billing and follow-up of all Medicare-related hospital claims, including challenging denied or underpaid claims, identifying and reporting on billing and reimbursement issues and working to secure appropriate reimbursement in a timely manner. Medicare hospital claim experience required

• Responsible for timely submission of daily and monthly Medicare claims including Inpatient and Outpatient
• Identifying and billing secondary or tertiary insurance plans.
• Researching and appealing denied claims
• Reviewing patient bills for accuracy and completeness and obtaining any missing information from multiple sources.
• Responsible for timely follow-up of all outstanding Medicare Claims including Inpatient & Outpatient
• Communicate with third-party representatives as necessary to complete claims processing and/or resolve problem claims by phone and website.
