About This Position

Description:

JOB TITLE: Commercial Painter

DIVISION: Coatings

REPORTS TO: Foreman

HOURLY RANGE: Competitive Market Range

EFFECTIVE DATE: 2/7/2022

SUMMARY:

The Painter will complete all field residential/commercial painting assignments onsite. This shall include, but not be limited to; complying with company policies and best practices, working with subcontractors, and keeping the company within compliance as set forth by the contract for specific job scope and duties as assigned and directed by ZSI Management team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Paint application and knowledge for both residential and commercial applications required

• Architectural coatings knowledge required

• High performance coatings knowledge required

• Skilled with airless sprayer preferred

• Efficient in cutting and rolling paint required

• Ability to work a high-pressure steam power washer required

• Intumescent coatings knowledge preferred

• Stains and transparent coatings knowledge preferred

• Exterior texture and elastomeric coatings knowledge preferred

• Epoxy and specialty floor finish knowledge preferred

• Comply with onsite safety protocol

• Abide by jobsite OSHA compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and recommended best practices when onsite and interacting with team members

• Keep up to date on overall activities of the company, identify problem areas to report back to Foreman and Superintendent on the job where applicable and within job scope for project delivery

EDUCATION AND EXPIERENCE:

• High School diploma or GED required

• Apprentice or tech school degree preferred

• 3+ years of Painting experience

• 10-hour OSHA preferred (willing to train/certify)

• Demonstrated team player

• Read and understand blueprints preferred

• CPR and First Aide certification preferred (willing to train/certify)

• Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions

• Creative, flexible, excellent written and verbal communication skills


Ability to work with all levels of staff towards team and project goals
