About This Position

Our client, a prestigious Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a Practice Manager to support its Investigations, White Collar, and Antitrust practice groups in Washington, DC. This is a high-impact leadership role ideal for a dynamic professional with strong operational, analytical, and legal industry experience.

As a trusted advisor and strategic partner to practice group leaders, the Practice Manager will drive execution of strategic initiatives, oversee daily operations, and ensure alignment across key business functions including Finance, Talent, Business Development, Innovation, IT, and Communications.

Salary range: $165,000 to $214,000 a year

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a strategic partner to practice leadership, executing initiatives focused on growth, revenue, and reputation.

  • Analyze financial, productivity, and utilization data to provide actionable insights that inform decision-making.

  • Manage attorney staffing, onboarding, and development in collaboration with the Talent team.

  • Act as liaison to client-side legal operations teams, supporting client value initiatives and optimizing service delivery.

  • Oversee operational functions such as budgeting, billing, matter management, and internal communications.

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with departments to improve processes, drive innovation, and ensure operational excellence.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a practice management role within an Am Law 100/200 or multi-office law firm.

  • Strong background or familiarity with Investigations, White Collar, or Antitrust practices is strongly preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; JD or MBA preferred.

  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and project management skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of an organization.
