As a Echo Sonographer, your compassion and technical expertise will make a difference in patients’ lives, supporting our mission of making life better for others.

You’ll work in either pediatric or adult cardiac imaging, depending on your skills, experience and site needs. This is a funnel posting that represents multiple openings across our system. Shift availability (days, evenings, weekends) and full time or part time options will be discussed with a hiring leader during the interview process to find best fit for you.



Responsibilities

What you’ll do

  • Perform high-quality cardiac imaging studies — from routine echocardiograms to advanced procedures like TEE, stress echo, bubble studies, and more.
  • Apply sound clinical judgment to tailor imaging for each patient, delivering accurate and meaningful results.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and care teams to support timely diagnosis and treatment.
  • Provide a calming, supportive experience for patients of all ages — neonate to geriatric.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety, respect, and continuous improvement.

What you bring

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent certification
  • Strong technical skills in 2D, 3D, Doppler, transesophageal, and stress echocardiography
  • Ability to place IVs and administer contrast
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment


Qualifications

Education:

  • Completion of accredited cardiac sonography or echocardiography certificate program that meets eligibility requirements for registry/certification.

Skills:

  • Cardiac sonographers conduct transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms to evaluate heart function and structure in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Strong understanding of ultrasound technology and cardiac anatomy is essential.
  • Maintain operation and maintenance of ultrasound equipment to obtain high quality images of the heart.
  • Assessment of images for clarity and relevance, selecting the most appropriate ones for physician review.
  • Documentation and preparation of preliminary reports highlighting key observations for cardiologists.
  • Able to explain procedures clearly and interact effectively with patients and the healthcare team.
  • May assist in clinical research and training new staff or students.
  • Technical proficiency and ability to navigate electronic health systems applicable to job functions.
