Senior Formulation Manager - Supplements & Consumer Goods (Founding Team) at Aonic – San Francisco, California

Your MissionAs Senior Formulation Manager - Supplements & Consumer Goods (Founding Team), you will play a crucial role in developing and refining our product formulations. In combination with our AI-Powered Health Companion app, we aim to launch personalized supplement products as well as functional, innovative beverages and other innovative consumer goods. You will lead the end-to-end supplement formulation process, from ingredient sourcing to taste formulation, ensuring our products are 100% ready for mass production. You will work closely together with our Medical Science team, our tech team that develops our AI-powered health companion app and together with other leaders from our senior leadership including our Head of Marketing and our CEO.
Your Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end formulation process for our personalized supplement programs as well as our functional beverage lines.
• Source high-quality ingredients and build lasting relationships with vendors and production partners.
• Develop and optimize taste formulations to meet consumer preferences.
• Ensure all formulations are ready for mass production and meet quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with the Operations Team to coordinate production and logistics.
• Stay updated with the latest research, science, industry, and market trends, applying these insights to new product development.
• Attend and promote Aonic at leading supplement and functional consumer goods conferences.
• Develop innovative product concepts and present them to the executive team.
• Work closely together with our Medical Science experts and our in-house AI product development team to enhance the personalization of our products.
• Build an AI-powered database of the interplay between biomarkers, outcomes, ingredients, and studies.
• Coordinate cross-departmental efforts on product launches, ensuring compliance, accurate labeling, and effective marketing materials.

Your Profile

• 5+ years of experience in product formulation within the vitamins, minerals, pre/probiotics, protein and/or longevity field.
• Proven track record of formulating successful products that deliver on their promises and sell well in the market.
• Extensive national network of contacts within the supplement industry, including ingredient suppliers and production partners.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements for dietary supplements.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work onsite in San Francisco, CA.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
