About This Position

  • Job Summary
    • Responsible for scheduling of patient visits for all disciplines, intake of new patient referrals, maintenance of patient charts including scanning and uploading of all MD orders and office visit notes. Answering incoming calls and transferring to correct office staff or clinician. Weekly payroll including collection of time sheets and inputting information into PayCor payroll system. Maintains a working knowledge of relevant computer systems and applications, as well as Home Care Home Base and medical terminology.
  • Job Requirements
    • Minimum Education Requirement
      • High School Graduate or equivalent required. Associate's Degree or greater preferred.
    • Minimum Experience Requirement
      • Minimum of two (2) years medical office or administrative assistant experience preferred. Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and graphics software. Ability to compose correspondence and proof assignments to ensure accuracy of documents. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required. Detail attentiveness required. Individual must be self-motivated and willing to self-direct. Previous experience in a health care environment preferred. Ability to simultaneously handle multiple assignments and projects with speed and accuracy. Able to work efficiently and effectively under time constraints.

    • Physical Requirement/Working Conditions
      • Majority of the time is spent sitting, using office equipment, such as a telephone, or typing. Some periods of standing to operate photocopy machine, or walking to deliver memos, etc. Light bending and stooping required. Hand eye coordination for operation of computer equipment. Reliable transportation required. If necessary to use personal vehicle on home care business, must show proof of valid automobile liability insurance. External applicants, as well as position incumbents who become disabled, must be able to perform the essential functions, either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation to be determined on a case by case basis.
