NextGen Deicing is hiring Aircraft Deicers at the Colorado Springs, CO Airport
SHIFT HOURS: Variable/Flexible PT Hours

NextGen’s primary business is to provide the most safe and effective delivery of deicing and anti-icing services to our customers and their passengers by using cutting-edge technology while having the most highly trained staff delivering our service.

Here is what you have to look forward to in your role as Deicer for NextGen:

• NextGen leadership will invest in you by providing you with a safe, effective and comprehensive on-boarding that will teach you how to be highly proficient in your new role.
• As a deicer, you will learn to drive deicing trucks around aircraft and in areas around the airport.
• You will learn how to become highly proficient in deicing truck booms and spray nozzle in close proximity to aircraft at heights exceeding 40 feet.
• You will become very familiar with the use of deicing fluids to remove winter contaminants such as snow, slush, frost and ice from aircraft surfaces. In your role, you will also use anti-icing fluids to protect aircraft surfaces from contaminants.
• You will be trained on how to utilize the latest technologies in dispatching and record-keeping tools on electronic tablets.
• As a NextGen deicer, you will learn to be effective and concise in your communications with coworkers, support crews, dispatch, and flight crews. You will be trained on the importance of that communication via the use of headsets and radios.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to provide a HS Diploma or satisfactory completion of GED and professional experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a current driver’s license.
• Be able to successfully complete the airport badging process and acquire an airport badge.
• Must be able to complete all classroom and OJT de-/anti-icing training.
• Experience in a similar industry with operational background in safety and/or airport compliance requirements is helpful.
