Relationships: Reports to Service Manager. Will work in cooperation with Service Advisors and other Service Department personnel.

Functions:

1. Provide firm customer satisfaction.
2. Employee is often the customer’s first point of contact with the dealership and therefore must represent the dealership in a friendly/professional manner.
3. Responsible for welcoming customers, offering them hospitality, assessing, and meeting their needs.

Responsibilities and Authorities:

• First physical contact with the customer.
• Gather vehicle information for the service advisor.
• Introduce customer to appropriate dealership personnel.
• Maintain smooth flow in service drive by directing customers where to park vehicle and directing customer to vehicle at time of pick up.
• Organize service area.
• Keep the area in and around the service aisle and adjoining areas clean and safe.
• May assist in shuttling service customers to and from dealership when shuttle driver is unavailable.
• Ensure customers are comfortable by directing customer to children’s area, snack area and television.
• Any other tasks deemed necessary per Management.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or the equivalent. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. One year of experience operating a computer and a cash register. Professional personal appearance and good customer service skills. Must work well with others and with customers. Must be at least 21 years or older. Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.

Working Conditions:

Will spend some time outdoors as needed to ensure that customer gets into their vehicle. May be required to walk customer to their vehicle or bring the vehicle to the customer. Will work on computer. Will have personal interaction with sales staff, service technicians, service manager, car porters and customers. May work weekends as needed. Will be exposed to noise, dust, fumes and other hazardous or nonhazardous materials. May stand, stoop, lift, kneel, crouch or reach during the shift. Must have excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Must have good judgment and be motivated.
