Controller at Sandis – Campbell, California

Sandis is seeking Controller in our Roseville or Campbell office. This role assists with the preparation of the operating budgets, overseeing financial reports, performing essential duties relating to payroll and supervising a small team of accounting professionals. Our ideal candidate is detailed-oriented, organized, and self-motivated.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring adherence to GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Revenue Recognition
• Review AP coding, sign checks and lien waivers
• Prepare AR collateral reports for bank loans
• Prepare periodic Utilization reports production
• Prepare Weekly Cash Flow updates
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial risks, and develop strategies to optimize cash management and mitigate risks.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and tax filings, ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Supervise and mentor accounting team members, providing guidance and support to facilitate their professional development.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making and improve business performance.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, working with CFO and Department to develop realistic financial plans and targets.
• Prepare project reconciliations and follow-up with clients
• Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and industry trends and recommend updates to policies and procedures as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Minimum of five or more years of combined accounting and finance experience
• Proven working experience as a financial controller
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Experience with creating financial statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
• Expert and experience with Excel formulas preferred – IF, SUM, SUMIF, XLOOKUP, MATCH, INDEX, AND, OR, CHOOSE, COUNT, COUNTIF currently used
