About This Position

Job Overview:

The Supervisor ensures that the department is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations.

Supervision responsibility includes the Adult Partial Hospital program, clinicians within the APH program and task supervision to Psych interns during there rotation in APH.

The Supervisor will review and assign intakes to group program, clinician and case manager. The Supervisor will also develop and monitor groups, group schedule and coverage with assistance of administrative assistant. The Supervisor will monitor charts for Medicaid standard compliance for audit, assist with Medicaid audits, and review, sign and submit billing for APH clients. The Supervisor maintains stats for APH program with assistance of administrative assistant, and assist in management of Adult Outpatient Mental Health as needed.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work

  • Two years of administrative experience and relevant clinical experience

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • New Jersey LCSW

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for assuring integration of outpatients services, substance abuse services and the health home- when implemented
  • Oversee addictions partial hospital program in regards to census, group size, documentation and billing
  • Insure appropriate assignment of patients to grants and other payors
  • Assist in monitoring of grant usage
  • Weekly contact with referral sources to provide follow up and to identify and address any pt flow issues that arise
  • Expand and maintain Women’s Addiction services to include prenatal services
  • Develop relationship with the Women’s Health Center to facilitate ongoing referrals
  • Facilitate and develop new referral source and work with program director to develop new services in response to identified needs
  • Provide LCADC supervision
  • Acts as a resource to staff and models compliance with Department Policies and Procedures
  • Provides relevant in-service presentations for staff to support unit training needs and to promote continuing professional growth
  • Work with Program Director to implement Health Home (i.e. identify appropriate patients, interview staff, develop policy and procedures and work flow plan)
  • Monitor and expand usage of ambulatory detox unit
  • Maintain regular contact with funders to insure that numbers are met and that the grants are utilized appropriately and to their satisfaction
  • Assess patients in crisis and determines appropriate level of care
  • Completion of medical records reviews as per QI standards
  • Complete staff evaluation for LSWs, LCADC and unit support staff
  • Integrate the services with the Hospital’s primary functions
  • Coordinates/integrates inter-intradepartmental services
  • Develop/implement Policies and Procedures that guide/support services
  • Determine staff qualifications and competence
  • Continuously assess/improve department performance
  • Maintain appropriate Quality Control programs
  • Participate in orientation/continuing education of Department staff
  • Participate in selection of outside services
  • Ensure the department operations are effective and efficient
  • Hold staff accountable for their responsibilities
  • Ensures the responsibilities for administrative and clinical direction are defined in writing
  • Ensure coordination of care/treatment /services
  • Ensure that all areas providing patient care are directed by qualified professionals with appropriate training and experience
  • Maintains the integrity of the department’s payroll
  • Completes all staff introductory evaluations, annual evaluations and re-evaluations within the timelines outlined and in accordance with Human Resources policy
