Job Description
Do you want to help people see better, look better, and feel better? We are seeking an experienced professional in vision care to join our Clinic (Electives) Team! This individual will be responsible for front line patient inquiries regarding refractive surgery and revenue cycle operations involving refractive surgery and premium cataract surgery.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor and track patient satisfaction and provide ongoing improvement suggestions.
Handle all LASIK phone calls and internet inquiries generated from online marketing activity.
Monitor and maintain marketing material for LASIK.
Coordinate financing/payment processing/collections for LASIK services.
Perform LASIK counseling and scheduling, which consists of: Follow-up communication for potential LASIK candidates, release of LASIK patients as needed under direct supervision of the physician, providing patients with surgical arrival time, documenting health history of patient day of LASIK procedure in electronic records, and statistical data entry into DGM prior to LASIK procedure.
Perform premium IOL counseling and patient education prior to scheduling with main surgery scheduler.
Request medical record information from the referring provider.
Maintain elective referrals, communicate with referring physicians and gather/forward co-management documentation.
Correlate appointment scheduling and gather required information for patients referred to academic hospitals.
Cover elective services front desk as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Knowledge of LASIK and cataract surgeries and procedures.
Knowledge of pre- and post-operative care.
Knowledge of interocular lens implant types and post-operative visual potentials depending on selection.
Knowledge of electronic medical records, NextGen.
Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma/GED.
Six months to one-year related experience and/or technical school training.
Preference will be given to applicants with experience in an ophthalmology setting. This is a full-time position with a benefits package. Hourly rate will be determined based on experience and training of the candidate. Review of applications will continue until the position is filled.

PAY RANGE: $21.00 - $25.87 per hour depending on skills, experience, and certifications.
