- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive business development strategy focused on government contracts at local and state levels
- Identify, pursue, and secure new opportunities through RFPs, proposals, and strategic partnerships
- Oversee end-to-end proposal development, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and competitive submissions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, decision-makers, and key stakeholders
- Drive revenue growth by managing pipelines, negotiating contracts, and supporting renewals
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a business development team, fostering performance and professional growth
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and compliance with regulations
- Monitor market trends, procurement forecasts, and competitive landscape to inform strategic positioning
- 15+ years of experience in business development, sales, or management within government contracting environments
- Proven success in securing and managing public sector contracts, including RFP responses and negotiations
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes, compliance requirements, and regulations
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to build, mentor, and manage high-performing teams
- Advanced degree in Public Health or a related field is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, consulting-driven environment
- Proficiency with CRM systems and government procurement platforms
