Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology
The University of Pittsburgh Experimental Department of Pathology is seeking a Candidate for the position of Assistant Professor in the appointment stream.
Objective: Development of a robust i) multi-omics (multimodal) AI platform and ii) foundational model that not only will contribute directly to the R&D efforts of CPAiCE while driving discovery in complex diseases as an extension to experimental pathology.
Job Description: Contribute to the mission of CPAiCE through the development of the objectives described. Seek focused funding opportunities on the second and third year with the agreement and guidance of CPAiCE leadership. Teaching and training next generation of innovators through the graduate program and/or postdoctoral fellowships. Participate in dissemination of science and contribute with the mission of CPAiCE to generate intellectual property. The initial allocation of your responsibilities will be 75% research, 10% teaching, and 15% admin.
Minimum Degree Required: PhD
Academic Field of Degree: Physics and Astronomy
Work Experience requirement: 1 year
Salary and Benefits: Salary will be commensurate with experience. The individual will be a full-time faculty member at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
