This role is designed for a senior creative storyteller who can transform how a fast-growing consumer tech product communicates with its users across every organic touchpoint. You will define and elevate the brand voice across lifecycle and engagement channels, shaping how millions of customers experience messaging through email, SMS, in-app copy, and emerging organic surfaces. The position blends deep creative craft with strategic influence, focusing on building emotional connection, trust, and long-term engagement in a category that has traditionally been transactional and functional. You will work in a highly analytical, experimentation-driven environment while championing the power of language, tone, and narrative. This is a foundational role where you will help establish the brand’s voice from the ground up and evolve it into a scalable system. It is ideal for a creative leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to redefine how a product speaks to its users.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the transformation of lifecycle communications, including email, SMS, push notifications, and in-app messaging, shifting from transactional to value-driven and emotionally engaging copy.
  • Define and evolve the brand’s tone of voice across all organic customer touchpoints in collaboration with leadership.
  • Develop messaging frameworks that build trust, engagement, and long-term customer relationships.
  • Partner closely with Product, Design, Growth, and Customer Insights teams to translate user data and insights into compelling, empathetic copy.
  • Oversee and refine customer-facing communications to ensure clarity, consistency, and emotional resonance.
  • Drive improvements in lifecycle campaigns that contribute to customer activation, retention, and conversion.
  • Contribute to broader organic growth initiatives as scope expands, including social content and community engagement.
  • Navigate and contribute to public-facing brand conversations across digital communities and platforms.
  • Advocate for strong brand storytelling within a highly analytical, performance-driven organization.
  • Help establish foundational voice guidelines, frameworks, and creative standards for scalable use across teams.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in creative marketing, copywriting, or content strategy with a focus on organic growth channels.
  • Strong expertise in lifecycle marketing channels such as email, SMS, and in-app messaging.
  • Proven ability to write compelling, human-centered copy for complex or “non-sexy” industries such as insurance, finance, or services.
  • Deep understanding of brand voice development, audience engagement, and product positioning.
  • Experience working with consumer-facing digital products and fast-paced growth environments.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional writing, storytelling, and creative craft.
  • Ability to synthesize qualitative insights and user pain points into resonant messaging.
  • Familiarity with community-driven platforms and social dynamics (e.g., Reddit, social media ecosystems).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Comfort working in data-driven environments while advocating for brand and creative intuition.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strategic yet hands-on mindset with the ability to operate independently.
