Job Description:
Job Summary
To support the president of the college and improve and advance the operations of the K-12 Education Office in fulfilling the mission and purpose of Hillsdale College. Duties include calendar and travel planning and coordination, event planning, correspondence, and preparing briefings. This position includes working with donors and visitors and serving as a representative for the Assistant Provost and as a liaison with college departments.
Essential Job Functions
• Maintain complete confidentiality with all information.
• Organize Assistant Provost’s calendar by planning and scheduling meetings and phone calls.
• Assist in planning K-12 Education events on campus.
• Plan and coordinate the Assistant Provost’s travel.
• Prepare meeting, speech, and event briefings as needed.
• Welcome guests to the K-12 Education Office, in person or on the phone, and answer and direct inquiries.
• Prepare visitor itineraries and accommodations as needed.
• Handle matters with other departments or with businesses outside the college.
• Maintain relationships with other classical education organizations and coordinate with the various organizations of which Assistant Provost is a member.
• Reconcile credit card statements with the business office.
• Help with administrative tasks, research, writing, and editing.
• Perform additional duties as the Assistant Provost may assign.

Education and Experience
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree. Previous administrative experience is preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to demonstrate the ability to perform the job.
