  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute enterprise-wide category management strategies.
  • Lead category performance initiatives to achieve sustainable cost savings and improve supplier performance.
  • Develop innovative long-term strategies to optimize spend and maximize value.
  • Design category toolkits and methodologies to deliver consistent value identification.
  • Monitor market trends and supplier activities to support category plans effectively.
  • Collaborate with sourcing teams to manage comprehensive sourcing activities.
  • Ensure alignment of sourcing activities with category strategies and performance frameworks.
  • Provide strategic procurement guidance and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Mentor and develop the Category Management team while managing procurement-related risks.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in procurement and category management.
  • Professional procurement certifications are considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated expertise in implementing category management approaches.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain principles.
  • Advanced analytical skills for data interpretation and decision-making.
  • Understanding of strategic analysis tools for driving category strategies.
  • Proven ability to conduct market analysis to optimize sourcing.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills across cross-functional teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of contract law and contract management principles.
