About This Position

Description:

Austin Center for Endodontics is seeking a dependable, full-time Registered Dental Assistant to join our growing team. Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms before patient examinations and procedures.
  • Assist the dentist throughout a variety of dental procedures by passing instruments, managing suction, and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Take and record vital signs and complete patient assessments as needed.
  • Capture dental x-rays and other imaging as directed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the electronic health system.
  • Adhere to strict infection control and sterilization protocols to maintain a safe environment.
  • Provide patients with oral hygiene guidance and post-operative care instructions.
  • Help manage the schedule by booking appointments and supporting patient flow throughout the day.
Requirements:
  • One or more years of experience in dentistry is preferred.
  • Active RDA license is required.
  • Openness to training is welcomed, but the ability to learn new systems quickly and maintain strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.
  • Familiarity with infection control standards and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Comfort using electronic health record software.
  • Ability to take accurate vital signs and perform basic assessments.
  • Experience with dental imaging is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
  • High attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with safety protocols.
