About Us
We are a growing healthcare organization comprising four operating entities: a specialty pharmacy, a compounding pharmacy, a network of seven ambulatory infusion centers, and a neurology practice. We are in the midst of a significant systems transformation, transitioning from QuickBooks Online to Sage Intacct to support our continued growth and operational complexity.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join our finance team and play a critical role in strengthening our accounting operations across all entities. This position offers a clear growth trajectory—working alongside our external fractional controller, you will develop the skills and institutional knowledge necessary to assume an internal Controller position within 18-24 months.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional with strong technical knowledge, multi-entity experience, and the desire to grow into a leadership role. You will be instrumental in our ERP transition and in building scalable accounting processes for a dynamic healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities
Month-End Close & Financial Reporting
- Lead the month-end and year-end close process across all five operating entities
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Collaborate with the fractional controller on financial statement preparation and review
- Ensure accurate and timely consolidation of financial results
General Ledger & Technical Accounting
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger across multiple entities
- Research and apply GAAP guidance to complex transactions, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and intercompany eliminations
- Document accounting policies and procedures
ERP Implementation & Systems
- Serve as a key participant in our transition from QuickBooks Online to Sage Intacct
- Help design and maintain the chart of accounts, reporting dimensions, and workflow configurations
- Develop and refine financial reports within Sage Intacct to support operational and executive decision-making
Team Collaboration & Development
- Work closely with the accounting analyst to review work product, provide guidance, and support professional development
- Partner with the external fractional controller to absorb knowledge and prepare for eventual transition to internal Controller
- Coordinate with operations leaders across all entities to understand business drivers and ensure accurate financial reflection
Internal Controls & Compliance
- Assist in designing and implementing internal controls appropriate for our size and complexity
- Support external audit and tax engagements by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries
- Ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations as they pertain to financial reporting
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger management and financial statement preparation
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions
- Proficiency with ERP systems; Sage Intacct experience strongly preferred
- Advanced Excel skills

- CPA designation or CPA candidate
- Healthcare, pharmacy, or life sciences industry experience
- Experience with Sage Intacct implementations or migrations
- Public accounting background (audit or assurance)
