JOB DUTIES:

• Work directly on the sales floor and phones daily, connecting with customers and supporting fellow staff members in the selection of products to provide horticultural, landscape, and/or gardening solutions.
• Provide support and answers to customer’s questions regarding procedures, products and requests.
• Assist with carryout and cart retrieval.
• Answer the telephone and answer customer questions, provide information and process orders.
• Provide accurate, timely and friendly service to both Bachman’s customers and potential customers.
• Build sustained connections with Bachman’s customers and potential customer connections by providing accurate, timely, and friendly service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrates excellent customer relations and communication skills is required.
• Must be able to read and write English, perform basic math skills and computer functions.
• High energy level.
• Past retail experience and horticultural experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to follow through on work direction.
• Ability to perform routine tasks to high standards, within a seasonally changing environment.
• Work is performed in areas with weather extremes of heat and cold, and wet conditions.
• The position requires standing/walking on hard surface during the entire shift, working at a fast pace.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs. with frequent bending.

SCHEDULE:

• Flexible work schedule/Retail store hours (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays)
• Expected to work a minimum of half the weekend days each month, in May preferably more.
• Mother's Day weekend has required work shifts.
