Description:

We are currently hiring for a PRN EMS Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) within the Aspen Ambulance department here at Aspen Valley Health.

Compensation Range:

$25.48 - $40.78

The compensation range listed is an estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on your qualifications including years of experience performing similar work, level of formal education in a relevant field of study, and any professional certifications related to the position.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

• Unrestricted license to practice as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Completion of CDPHE-recognized IV Approval course
• Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire.
• Current driver license, or ability to obtain prior to start date, with minimum 3 years of driving experience and acceptable MVR.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Advanced EMT or Paramedic preferrred.

Position Overview:

Administers care to sick and injured persons in pre-hospital and interfacility setting as directed by paramedics, local protocols, and physician orders. Responds to emergency calls for medical assistance, assesses the situation, obtains a basic medical history and physical examination of the patient, and provides emergency care at the scene and during transit to the hospital.
