About This Position
Description:
Summary / Objective
Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of Hydrovac trucks, semi-trucks, and half-ton trucks in accordance with manufacturer specifications. This role requires strong mechanical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Hydrovac experience preferred; semi-truck experience required.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Accurately interpret work orders, service manuals, and technical diagrams.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system failures.
- Ensure full compliance with DOT, MSA, and OSHA regulations.
- Document all work performed using established procedures and maintenance systems.
- Communicate additional repair needs to the Fleet Manager.
- Train, mentor, and assist other technicians as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy-duty construction equipment, Hydrovac/Vacuum trucks, or fleet repair (preferred).
- Must maintain an approved MVR; Class A or B CDL preferred but not required.
- Must provide personal hand tools required to perform the job.

- Ability to work 10–12 hours a day and occasional weekends as required.
Work Environment
- Must be able to work in indoor/outdoor environments, including extreme weather.
- Exposure to loud noise, heavy equipment, and industrial conditions.
Physical Demands
- Ability to repeatedly sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and crawl.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs multiple times throughout the workday.
Compensation:
- Pay Type: Hourly
- Pay Range: $35.00 – $45.00/hour DOE
