About This Position
Faculty - Clinical Instructor - Ultrasonography/Echocardiography
Full-time faculty are responsible for a workload of 24 credit hours or equivalent. The successful candidate will teach primarily in the undergraduate diagnostic medical sonography curriculum, but opportunities to teach other courses such as Medical Terminology, may exist.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Ultrasonography, or related field required. Master's degree preferred. A minimum of three (3) years of full-time clinical experience as a registered sonographer in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is required. RDMS, RDCS and/or CCI certification is required through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Abdominal (AB), Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB/GYN), Breast(BR) and Vascular Technology (RVT) credentials also preferred.
Applicants must have the ability to utilize various teaching methods and effectively incorporate the use of technology into the teaching/learning process. Knowledge of curriculum development, instruction, evaluation and advising of students strongly preferred. Faculty rank is contingent upon qualifications.
This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time; all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of their application.

This open position offers a regular, full-time, 9.5-month appointment, with primary teaching obligations during the core academic year from August – May. Faculty are expected to have a regular presence on campus to engage with students both inside and outside the classroom through the following responsibilities:
- Maintain current knowledge of diagnostic medical sonography,
- Responsible for providing instruction, evaluation of students, and documentation of progress (classroom/theory and clinical settings),
- Participate in periodic review of course content,
- Develop and update course curriculum,
- Facilitate reliable clinical affiliations for Ultrasonography and Echocardiography students,
- Participate in meetings/committee work,
- Assist in Ultrasonography and Echocardiography accreditation development and compliance,
- Participate in student recruitment,
- Advise students academically,
- Hold regular office hours, and
- Assist with Departmental initiatives, College events and other activities.
