Job Summary:
The Manager, Credit Card Marketing & Acquisition will oversee the strategic development and execution of credit card marketing and acquisition campaigns aimed at driving cardholder growth and customer loyalty. This role is responsible for managing relationships with financial institutions, developing promotional campaigns, and analyzing performance data to optimize card acquisition efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in financial services marketing, direct response campaigns, and customer engagement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
Credit Card Marketing Strategy:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to drive new credit card sign-ups and optimize conversion rates across multiple channels.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align credit card marketing campaigns with broader marketing objectives and initiatives.
  • Work with external partners (e.g., financial institutions, credit card issuers) to develop co-branded campaigns and offers that drive customer acquisition.
Campaign Management & Execution:
  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of acquisition campaigns, including digital, direct mail, email, and in-store promotions.
  • Develop and track performance metrics to measure campaign effectiveness and ROI, adjusting tactics as necessary to meet targets.
  • Manage budgets for marketing campaigns and ensure cost-efficiency without sacrificing quality or performance.
Customer Segmentation & Data Analysis:
  • Leverage data and analytics to identify key customer segments and design targeted marketing strategies to drive acquisition.
  • Utilize customer behavior insights to optimize messaging, offers, and timing for marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge and innovate on acquisition tactics.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing, Retail, and Customer Service teams to ensure a seamless customer journey from credit card application to account activation.
  • Partner with the Analytics team to ensure that campaign performance is tracked and reported accurately.
Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with financial partners, credit card issuers, and other key stakeholders to ensure successful campaign execution.
  • Negotiate terms for co-branded card offers, credit promotions, and other partnership opportunities.
Compliance & Risk Management:
  • Ensure all marketing materials and initiatives comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to applicable laws, including those related to credit marketing and financial products.
Requirements Skills & Qualifications:
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. MBA or equivalent experience is a plus
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years focused on credit card acquisition or financial services marketing.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Proven track record of driving customer acquisition through targeted marketing strategies.
Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
  • Expertise in digital marketing, direct mail, email campaigns, and other customer acquisition tactics. Knowledge of financial products, credit card industry regulations, and customer loyalty programs. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced Environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and data analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Salesforce).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other business tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with co-branded credit card programs and financial partnerships.
  • Knowledge of customer loyalty and rewards programs.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage external partners.
