Position Title
Lead Sign Installation Technician

Employment Status & Work Hours
Location: Everett, WA
Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Position Summary
The Lead Sign Installation Technician is a senior, hands-on role responsible for leading complex and large-scale sign installation projects while mentoring and guiding installation teams. This position serves as the technical and operational lead in the field, ensuring installations meet company quality standards, safety requirements, and client specifications.

This role combines advanced installation expertise with leadership responsibilities and plays a critical part in delivering successful projects, supporting team development, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Compensation & Benefits
● $33.00 to $37.00 an hour (depending on level of experience)

What You'll Do
● Lead and direct installation technicians and authorized installation partners to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and to quality standards.
● Train, mentor, and support installers and apprentices in proper installation techniques, safety procedures, and best practices.
● Oversee large-scale and complex sign installation projects, coordinating timelines, materials, labor resources, and subcontractors.
● Perform and supervise advanced installation work, including LED retrofits, illuminated signage, structural signage, and specialty sign installations.
● Ensure compliance with OSHA, UL, NEC-related safety practices, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
● Read, interpret, and execute work based on blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
● Troubleshoot and resolve complex on-site installation challenges to keep projects moving forward.
● Ensure accurate placement, alignment, and finishing of signs according to client requirements and company standards.
● Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, contractors, inspectors, and other stakeholders throughout the installation process.
● Maintain a safe, organized, and professional job site environment.
● Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
● High school diploma or GED required.
● Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
● Minimum of 3 years of hands-on sign installation experience, including large-scale or complex installations.
● At least 2 years of experience leading installation teams or crews.
● Ability to obtain and maintain required safety and industry certifications, including OSHA.
● Ability to travel frequently and work extended or overnight assignments as required.
● Ability to safely perform the physical demands of the role.

Preferred Qualifications
● Electrician’s license.
● Advanced experience with illuminated signage, LED retrofitting, and structural sign installations.
● Experience coordinating subcontractors or third-party installation partners.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
● Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods.
● Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
● Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
● Ability to use hand tools and light power equipment.
● Frequent use of hands and arms to handle tools and materials.
● Ability to see close and at a distance and adjust focus as needed.
● Regular verbal communication and hearing required.
● Work performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
● Occasional overtime or extended hours may be required.

Travel Requirements
● Up to 50% travel including overnight stays.
