The lab assistant is responsible for supporting production by handling routine tasks and laboratory logistics, actively participating in experimental setups and data collection. The ideal person will have some understanding in Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Biology, attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible of kits assembly, pick pack, shipping and related documentations.
  • Assist lab staff with daily tasks, including but not limited to sample and buffer preparation, equipment maintenance and calibration, and inventory management.
  • Prepare and clean up equipment used in experiments and tests.
  • Help in the setup and breakdown of experiments and demonstrations as needed.
  • Complete quality control and quality assurance processes to insure the reliability of lab results (temperature monitoring, weigh check and so on).
  • Follow established protocols, safety standards to ensure accurate and consistent results.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure project goals and timelines are met.
  • Stay attuned to advancements in lab techniques and technology.
  • Strictly adhere to safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and hazardous events.
  • Monitor and report any issues or malfunctions with equipment to the appropriate personnel.

Education/Experience:

  • High school or above, bachelor diploma or equivalent work/school experience preferred.
  • 0-3 years of experience
  • Proficient technical understanding of lab tools and equipment.
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Office product
  • Knowledge of lab safety protocols and procedures.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively.

Work Environment:

  • Working in lab environment
  • PPE as required
  • Some work with low level radioactive materials will be required.
