This interim leadership role is responsible for guiding and executing sales strategy for major retail partnerships, with a focus on driving growth, collaboration, and customer engagement. The Temporary Director of Sales will lead a team overseeing sales, replenishment, and analytics, ensuring alignment across multiple brands and departments. This role combines strategic vision, operational execution, and people leadership to maximize sales performance while fostering a positive and collaborative culture. The ideal candidate will act as a key representative to external partners, leveraging insights and market knowledge to deliver results and influence long-term business strategies. - Lead sales initiatives for key retail accounts to drive revenue growth and achieve sales objectives.
- Manage and mentor a team responsible for sales operations, replenishment, and analytics.
- Develop and execute annual sales plans, incorporating customer insights and market trends.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with brand, marketing, supply chain, and other internal stakeholders to align on goals and deliverables.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams to ensure partnership success.
- Act as a visible ambassador of the organization’s values and culture, fostering collaboration and alignment.
- Analyze sales data to identify opportunities, address challenges, and inform strategic decisions.
Requirements:
- 7–12 years of experience in CPG sales or retail merchandising, with proven success managing top-tier retail accounts.
- Minimum 2 years of people leadership experience, leading sales teams or business units.
- Deep knowledge of P&L management and trade budgets.
- Strong customer relationship-building skills and the ability to gain trust at senior levels.
- Experience driving eCommerce sales and enhancing customer experiences.
- Excellent negotiation, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with integrity, tenacity, and a results-oriented approach.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and translate insights into actionable growth strategies.
- Preferred: Experience working with Walmart or similar large retail accounts.
