PROJECT ARCHITECT — DESIGN LEADERSHIP TRACK at Helt Design – Belmont, North Carolina

HELT Design Architecture & Interiors is seeking a Project Architect with strong design sensibility and a passion for shaping projects from concept through construction. This role is ideal for architects who thrive in both conceptual development and technical execution. You will model, document, coordinate with consultants, and lead key aspects of project delivery while mentoring younger designers and contributing to studio standards. In addition to advancing design excellence within the studio, you'll have opportunities to work across a diverse portfolio including adaptive-reuse, community-focused, hospitality, and workplace projects.

ROLE SUMMARY
You are an architect who moves comfortably between concept and execution — forming ideas, refining details, and guiding teams through delivery.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Lead design development + documentation across project phases
• Model complex forms and refine material + spatial studies
• Translate design intent into coordinated technical solutions
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams
• Review detail work, life-safety, and code compliance
• Support CA efforts (submittals, RFIs, site observation)
• Mentor younger designers in design thinking + tools

WHAT YOU BRING
• 4–8 years experience, licensed or on path to licensure
• Strong design sensibility + ability to communicate ideas visually
• Revit + CAD + SketchUp fluency; Rhino a plus
• Comfort navigating iterative creative work and technical decisions
• Ability to lead with humility and collaborate graciously
