In this pivotal role, you will act as a customer-facing liaison responsible for coordinating and managing third-party carrier capacity to support transportation operations. Accountabilities- Provide brokerage coverage to ensure uninterrupted freight movement and service continuity.
- Respond to incoming calls and electronic communications from customers, carriers, and teams.
- Coordinate routed, on-demand, accessorial, and special freight orders according to standards.
- Evaluate load feasibility considering capacity, equipment, and customer expectations.
- Secure and assign third-party carrier capacity while monitoring load execution.
- Track load acceptance, transit progress, and resolve freight issues as needed.
- Monitor service delays and take corrective actions if shipments deviate from the plan.
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and service expectations.
- Strong ability to establish trust with internal teams and external partners.
- Detail-oriented with proficiency in processing transactions within brokerage systems.
- Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive shipments efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and transportation management systems.
- Problem-solving skills to independently resolve service issues.
