ROLE SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Offsite Catering Sales Director to build and lead our new catering division from the ground up. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing the infrastructure, revenue strategy, and team to launch and scale a world-class offsite catering program.You'll be the driving force behind catering sales, working closely with culinary, operations, and marketing teams to create bespoke experiences for our high-profile clients and events.
Experience focused solely on managing inbound catering inquiries or in-venue banquet operations may not fully align with the scope of this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Division Buildout & Strategy
    • Lead the development of the offsite catering program, including service offerings, pricing structures, packaging, and SOPs.
    • Identify market opportunities and craft a go-to-market strategy for luxury catering and off-premise activations.
    • Partner with leadership to build out staffing plans, vendor relationships, and operational infrastructure.
  • Sales & Business Development
    • Generate new business through proactive outreach, relationship building, and networking within the hospitality, wedding, corporate, and entertainment industries.
    • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline; consistently meet or exceed revenue targets.
    • Own client relationships end-to-end—from initial inquiry through contract, planning, and execution handoff.
  • Team Leadership
    • Hire, train, and manage a growing catering sales team as the division scales.
    • Serve as the primary liaison between events, culinary, operations, and marketing to ensure seamless execution.
  • Client Experience
    • Curate high-touch, personalized proposals and presentations reflective of the brand's luxury positioning.
    • Collaborate with the culinary and beverage teams to customize menus and experiences tailored to client needs.
    • Ensure exceptional client service standards from initial contact through post-event follow-up.
  • Reporting & Forecasting
    • Create and manage budgets, sales reports, and KPIs to track performance and inform strategy.
    • Provide regular updates to executive leadership on sales progress, opportunities, and challenges.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 7+ years in catering sales, event sales, or hospitality business development; luxury or high-end experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of generating and growing catering/event revenue.
  • Experience building programs or departments from scratch is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-starter with a high level of initiative and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities; thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Knowledge of catering software (e.g., Tripleseat, Caterease, or similar) a plus.
