About This Position
Job Title: Business Development Representative
Compensation:
The compensation range for this position is $80,000–$120,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for performance-based commission incentives. Additional elements of compensation include eligibility for our group benefits plan as well as enrolment in our company pension plan.
General Description of the Position:
Baytech Plastics is seeking a highly driven, energetic, and confident sales professional to aggressively grow new business within the injection molding market. This role is built for a true hunter — someone who thrives on opening doors, creating opportunities, and winning new accounts. The successful candidate will focus primarily on identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities.
This position has the potential to be remote or hybrid and will require travel (including potential international travel) as needed.
Key Responsibilities
· Proactively identify, target, and secure new injection molding business opportunities.
· Generate leads through various means, (networking, industry outreach, and strategic prospecting).
· Build strong relationships with decision-makers, engineers, procurement teams, and executives.
· Present Baytech’s capabilities confidently and professionally to prospective clients.
· Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and quotations in collaboration with internal teams.
· Maintain an active, disciplined sales pipeline that consistently supports the achievement of established sales targets and quotas, while providing regular, accurate reporting and forecasting.
· Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies within the plastics and injection molding sector.
· Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to expand market presence.
Skills & Qualifications
· Proven track record of winning new business in a B2B manufacturing environment.
· Direct experience in injection molding and/or contract manufacturing (strongly preferred).
· Hunter mentality — motivated by building pipelines and closing new opportunities.
· High sales energy with an outgoing, relationship-driven approach and a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
· Confident, persuasive communicator and company ambassador who champions Baytech with professional credibility.
· Strategic thinker with strong business acumen.
· Comfortable engaging senior-level stakeholders.
· Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to exceed targets.
· Strong negotiation and closing skills.
