This role is focused on advancing mission-driven impact by strengthening institutional funding and supporting the growth of sustainable grant revenue. You will play a key part in shaping compelling narratives that translate program outcomes, data, and learner stories into persuasive funder communications. Working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative nonprofit environment, you will manage stewardship for a diverse portfolio of funders while also supporting pipeline development and prospect research. The position requires a strong balance of writing excellence, analytical thinking, and relationship management. You will collaborate across teams to ensure accurate reporting, timely submissions, and aligned messaging with organizational goals. This is a highly dynamic role where storytelling, strategy, and data come together to drive meaningful social impact.
- Develop high-quality, tailored grant reports and stewardship materials for a portfolio of institutional funders, translating program data and outcomes into clear, compelling narratives.
- Create funder-facing communications including impact updates, briefing memos, acknowledgments, and engagement materials.
- Write and support grant proposals, LOIs, and applications in collaboration with the development team.
- Manage the reporting calendar, ensuring timely and accurate submission of all funder deliverables.
- Coordinate cross-functional data collection and internal alignment to support reporting and compliance requirements.
- Track progress against funder commitments and proactively identify risks or gaps in delivery.
- Conduct prospect research and evaluate new funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities.
- Support pipeline development efforts by identifying, analyzing, and recommending potential funder partnerships.
- Leverage AI tools to improve writing efficiency, research depth, and data synthesis.
- Experience in grant writing, development, fundraising, or nonprofit communications, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong writing, storytelling, and editing skills with the ability to translate data into persuasive narratives.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize work across competing demands.
- Experience conducting prospect research and assessing funder alignment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate data insights effectively.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and grant management workflows.
- Proven ability to collaborate across teams and coordinate input from multiple stakeholders.
- Comfort working in an evolving, startup-like nonprofit environment.
- Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity) to support writing, research, and productivity.
- Strong initiative, ownership mindset, and attention to detail.
- Salary of $88,000 annually with a transparent, market-based compensation approach.
