The position requires a strong balance of writing excellence, analytical thinking, and relationship management. You will collaborate across teams to ensure accurate reporting, timely submissions, and aligned messaging with organizational goals. This is a highly dynamic role where storytelling, strategy, and data come together to drive meaningful social impact.

Accountabilities
  • Develop high-quality, tailored grant reports and stewardship materials for a portfolio of institutional funders, translating program data and outcomes into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Create funder-facing communications including impact updates, briefing memos, acknowledgments, and engagement materials.
  • Write and support grant proposals, LOIs, and applications in collaboration with the development team.
  • Manage the reporting calendar, ensuring timely and accurate submission of all funder deliverables.
  • Coordinate cross-functional data collection and internal alignment to support reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Track progress against funder commitments and proactively identify risks or gaps in delivery.
  • Conduct prospect research and evaluate new funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Support pipeline development efforts by identifying, analyzing, and recommending potential funder partnerships.
  • Leverage AI tools to improve writing efficiency, research depth, and data synthesis.
Requirements
  • Experience in grant writing, development, fundraising, or nonprofit communications, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and editing skills with the ability to translate data into persuasive narratives.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize work across competing demands.
  • Experience conducting prospect research and assessing funder alignment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate data insights effectively.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and grant management workflows.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams and coordinate input from multiple stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in an evolving, startup-like nonprofit environment.
  • Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity) to support writing, research, and productivity.
  • Strong initiative, ownership mindset, and attention to detail.
Benefits
  • Salary of $88,000 annually with a transparent, market-based compensation approach.
  • 4-day work week structure supporting flexibility and work-life balance.
  • Fully remote work environment within the United States.
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision fully covered for employees).
  • Unlimited vacation after introductory period and generous paid holidays.
  • Paid parental leave, adoption benefits, and additional family support programs.
  • Retirement plan with employer contribution (401k).
  • Annual learning and development stipend plus education reimbursement opportunities.
  • Home office setup and monthly technology/phone stipend.
  • Wellness benefits, employee resource groups, and community-building initiatives.
