Come grow with our VDC Team! Lee Construction Group (LCG) is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Virtual Design and Construction team. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our Senior VDC Manager, Marketing & Visual Technology Manager, Project Managers, and Superintendents to help bring projects to life from concept through construction. You’ll split your time between the office and the field, working alongside team members across LCG’s trade and general contracting divisions to deliver innovative, high‑quality results.
Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain models and drawings using AutoCAD, Tekla, Revit, SketchUp, and Navisworks.
  • Perform clash detection, coordinate models, and support trade partner collaboration.
  • Upload and manage drawings and models within document control platforms.
  • Support layout, shop drawings, and field technology tools (Trimble, AutoCAD Mobile).
  • Capture site data using Matterport, 360 cameras, drones, and iPads.
  • Attend coordination meetings, take notes, and track action items.
  • Assist with internal reviews, training, and continuous process improvements.
  • Support field teams with layout and VDC-related technology as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Navisworks.
  • Ability to obtain FAA Part 107 Drone Certification within 90 days.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background and drug screening.
Skills & Attributes
  • Understanding of commercial construction and ability to read architectural, structural, and MEP plans.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Comfortable learning new technologies and working both in the office and field.
  • Safety‑minded, aligned with a Safety for Life culture.
  • Basic Spanish a plus.
