Transportation / Dispatch Coordinator at Niche Polymer LLC – Washington, West Virginia

We are looking for a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Transportation / Dispatch Coordinator to join our team. This position plays a key role in supporting daily transportation and logistics operations, including local trucking, OTR trucking, and export shipments. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively with drivers, brokers, customers, and local warehouses, and keep schedules moving efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and dispatch local trucking movements including pickups, deliveries, trailer swaps, and warehouse transfers
• Assist with OTR trucking operations, including load coordination, communication with brokers, and driver updates
• Coordinate export shipments, including scheduling container pickups, deliveries, returns, and maintaining shipment documentation
• Communicate daily with local warehouses, customers, and drivers to schedule and adjust freight movements as needed
• Maintain and update driver schedules, load boards, spreadsheets, and shipping records
• Review transportation paperwork for accuracy and ensure shipment information is properly documented
• Monitor schedule changes and adjust dispatch plans to keep loads on time and operations running smoothly
• Provide support for general dispatch, transportation coordination, and related logistics activities

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in dispatching, transportation, logistics, or shipping coordination preferred
• Working knowledge of local trucking, OTR freight, and export scheduling is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook, along with the ability to work from shared spreadsheets and transportation tracking tools
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
