Pay: Up to $34.00/hour (DOE)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Supervisor to lead second-shift operations in a structural steel environment. This role is responsible for guiding a team of welders and fitters, ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a safe and collaborative workplace.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with shop leadership to plan and execute production schedules and meet delivery targets
- Supervise daily activities of welders and fitters, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
- Assign and balance workloads to optimize productivity
- Provide hands-on support and guidance for fabrication challenges, including drawings, techniques, and safety practices
- Monitor progress toward deadlines and adjust team assignments as needed
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and uptime
- Set expectations, provide feedback, and foster strong communication within the team
- Collaborate with quality control to maintain AISC standards and overall product quality
- Support administrative functions such as interviewing, training, evaluations, and time tracking
- Assist with resolving employee concerns and contributing to continuous improvement efforts
- Perform additional duties as required
- Knowledge of structural steel fabrication, welding, layout, and material handling
- Experience with CNC fabrication equipment and shop operations
- Understanding of safety practices, quality standards, and cost control measures
- Ability to follow and enforce workplace safety policies
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical certifications or an associate degree in a related field
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
