Are you a mechanically minded individual interested in working on ground-up projects in a creative environment? We have an immediate need for a Mechanical Engineer Intern to join our engineering team.

The Mechanical Engineer Intern is a broad role that offers you the opportunity to work on a variety of engineering programs in the themed entertainment industry supporting ride and show systems. The role works on projects for large and small customers to meet the customers timelines. The Mechanical Engineer Intern works in a team environment to understand each customer’s unique needs and will perform independent project tasks while also collaborating with customers and team members.

This is a great position for a mechanically and structurally focused engineer experienced in complete product life cycle development and excited to work in the themed entertainment industry. This is a paid internship and located in Livonia, MI.

Minimum qualifications to be considered as a Mechanical Engineer Intern:

• Must be able to work a 40+ hour work week M-F onsite for summer 2026 (May-Aug)
• Must currently be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or mechatronics engineering
• Engineering interns must have a minimum sophomore standing
• Must be proficient in MS Office
• Must have a strong desire to learn engineering system design & development, or manufacturing as it is related to the themed entertainment industry
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving history
• Must love working on vehicles and/or mechanical systems
• Must be able to think outside the box and enjoy research and development type activities

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on and/or Formula SAE/Baja experience strongly preferred
• CAD experience (SolidWorks or similar)
• Prior internship experience in a design and or manufacturing related environment strongly preferred
• Strong leadership, technical, and interpersonal skills
• Possess a basic knowledge of mechanical components and manufacturing processes
• Demonstrated ability to do basic engineering analysis and calculations
