Position Title: Intern - Manufacturing Technician (Clifton, KS)

Location: Clifton, KS, United States

Job Description: Development of college students who are pursuing an Associate's Degree in Manufacturing Technology. Our Intern will be exposed to a variety of projects and activities that will provide an opportunity to apply knowledge and skills learned in college and demonstrate abilities in the workplace. This is a temporary, nonexempt position.

Responsibilities:

• With direction, learn to calibrate basic equipment as well as perform quality assurance checks and tests on production materials.
• Provide assistance with assembly of mechanical and piping components in machining and fabrication areas.
• Support employees with setups and product change over.
• Learn to troubleshoot, maintain and repair production assembly equipment and implement and document corrective actions.
• Learn general shop preventative maintenance practices.
• Understand setup and functionality of testing equipment.

Qualifications:

• College student, currently enrolled in an Associate's degree program in Manufacturing Technology or related field.
• Ability to interpret machine and schematic drawings and read blueprints.
• Ability recognize and troubleshoot technical issues with assistance.
• Must possess self-motivation and initiative to recognize, analyze and recommend alternative solutions to problems and issues.
• Proficiency with personal computer and various software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.).
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
• Support the company's employee policies and procedures, including workplace safety rules.
• Employment is contingent upon passing a post offer drug screen and also a valid driver's license and good driving record.
