About This Position
Sterilization Tech I
Job Summary
Under general supervision, performs duties in assigned areas which may include surgery suites sterilizer, decontamination, case carts, and sterile lockers. Decontaminates and sterilizes surgical instruments, equipment and supplies utilized in a variety of procedures.
Qualifications
Education
- Preferred
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Experience:
Preferred
- One year of experience in Sterile Processing
Certification/Licensure:
- Required
- Sterile Processing Technician
- Must obtain within twelve (12) months of employment, completion of certification will result in a promotion to a Certified Sterilization Technician
