Position Summary
Requirements: Qualifications
The R&D Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of hydronic flow control products. This role plays a critical part in bringing new products to market and enhancing existing product lines to meet customer needs, performance standards, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is technically strong, hands-on, and motivated to solve real-world engineering challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Lead new product development projects from concept through launch
- Design and model components and assemblies using 3D CAD software
- Develop prototypes and oversee product testing and validation
- Perform engineering calculations including fluid dynamics, thermal performance, and structural analysis
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Applications Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain
- Support cost reduction and value engineering initiatives
- Prepare and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, specifications, test reports, and design records
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and certifications
- Support continuous improvement efforts within manufacturing processes
- Provide technical support as needed for internal teams and customers
Requirements: Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3–7 years of engineering experience in product design or manufacturing
- Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Understanding of fluid systems, pressure vessels, or hydronic systems preferred
- Experience with product testing and validation methods
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in HVAC, plumbing, or hydronic flow control products
- Familiarity with stainless steel fabrication and manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of ASME, NSF, UL, or other applicable industry standards
