Salary starting at $76,400, with final compensation based on experience, education, and qualifications.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
Summary:
This position works cross-functionally within the organization to improve quality levels to our customers and improve internal processes. Duties include auditing the Quality Management system and report the findings, act as liaison with all organizational departments by coordinating procedures to address any deficiencies. Support all organizational departments by leading continuous improvement activities.
Examples of Duties:
- Analyze, identify, and implement manufacturing and/or business process improvements which will improve capability and performance through structured problem solving.
- Assist with creating and maintaining QMS documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures and standard work instructions.
- Lead QMS audit function as lead auditor & provide support to manufacturing.
- Meet with all organizational department team members on QMS audit results, assisting with recommendations for improvement implementation.
- Support organizational departments with daily Quality activities that support kaizen objectives.
- Prepare and present facility quality performance via Quarterly Quality Reviews.
- Use warranty and scrap data (monthly/quarterly) to activate improvements that reduce customer complaints.
- Track DOA shipments and start initiatives to drive down that number.
- Provide supplier quality support in all phases of interaction with suppliers, including development, production and continuous improvement utilizing PPAP process.
- Participating in kaizen team support as necessary.
- Participate in facility Gemba walks and execute to quality actions that get assigned.
- Facilitate training on internal and customer specifications on product quality.
Professional & Personal Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering/related field or equivalent experience.
•Knowledge of QA techniques, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans and SPC.
•Computer literacy required.
•Ability to communicate well across all functional areas.
•HVAC knowledge or experience is preferred.
