About This Position

The Production Lead will be responsible for assisting with the operations of the shift while maintaining employee production on machines, keeping an organized work environment for maximum efficiency and production quality. Completes responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures, and applicable laws.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience as a Machine Operator/Packer executing all of the duties/responsibilities below timely and efficiently unless skills supersede experience.
  • Following machine priorities with scheduling from Manager
  • Able to multi-task throughout the shift to best maintain production goals
  • Train operators per training program
  • Will be trained on all FMS positions and processes.
  • Support operations by running grinders, sorting, and filling in for team members as needed.
  • Serve as back-up for Manager when absent.
  • Be able to run all machines and follow SWI/SOPs
  • Assure quality standards
  • Knowledge of safety standards and procedures
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify problems, analyze data and implement solutions
  • Proficient in production management software and ERP system (PLEX)
  • Cover breaks for operators when needed
  • Overall good communication skills to management and team
  • Other duties assigned as needed
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operator and maintain various machines.
  • Meet productivity standards.
  • Troubleshoot issues with quality or productivity related to the team or the machine.
  • Suggest improvements to processes or procedures.
  • Participate in safety observation programs as required.
  • Complete required documentation such as patrols, housekeeping sheets, etc.
  • Perform 5S and other housekeeping duties required for a clean and safe work environment.
  • Train others as needed.
  • Understand Packaging/Bag Sealing, Labeling, etc. in order to train to standard.
  • Measuring parts with gauges and calipers
  • Record production, scrap and print labels through Plex, etc.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
JOB SKILLS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred 1-3 years’ manufacturing experience.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to be on time, dependable and reliable.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail with problem solving skills.
  • Ability to stand and be in motion throughout the shift.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to lift and pull up to 45lbs
Internal Candidate Eligibility for Job Bid Policy:
  • 3 attendance points or fewer
  • No disciplinary write-ups within the past 12 months
  • No recent position changes
  • Minimum of 6 months’ employment with Advanex
